This page explains what cookies b8r.in uses and how you control them. A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, usually to remember something between page loads.
Your choice comes first
The first time you visit, we ask before setting anything beyond what is strictly necessary. Until you choose, analytics and advertising cookies are not set — we use Google Consent Mode, which holds those tags back rather than firing them and asking afterwards. If you reject them, they stay off.
To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Strictly necessary
These are always active because the site cannot work without them. They cover security, load balancing at the hosting level, and remembering your cookie choice itself — storing that preference is what stops us asking on every page. They are not used to identify you or build a profile.
Analytics
Set only if you accept. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. This tells us what to write more of. It is measurement, not identification — we do not use it to work out who you personally are.
Advertising
Set only if you accept. These let us measure whether our advertising works and, where enabled, show you relevant ads elsewhere on the web — commonly called remarketing. Rejecting them does not reduce anything about how this site works for you.
Third-party services
When you purchase a Pro plugin license, checkout is handled by our licensing partner, Freemius, on their own domain — they may set their own cookies during that process, governed by their own privacy and cookie policies, not this one.
Blog posts sometimes embed video from YouTube or Vimeo. Those players may set cookies when you interact with them, under their own policies.
